Questions
Everything worth knowing before your first session
- How do I book a session?
- Booking is online and appointment only. Choose your bodywork and session length on the booking page, pick a time, and you are set. If you would rather ask something first, send a note from the contact page.
- Is a deposit required?
- Yes. Most services take a $35 deposit at booking, which goes toward the price of your session. The Hot Stone service does not take a deposit. A card on file is required to reserve any appointment.
- What is the cancellation policy?
- A 45% cancellation fee applies to no-shows and to cancellations made within 5 hours of your scheduled appointment. Cancellations outside that window can be made online at no charge.
- Which session length should I choose?
- 60 minutes covers one area of concern, such as neck, shoulders, and upper back. 90 minutes is the most common choice for full-body work with time for problem areas. 120 minutes is for the deepest reset, and works well with the Signature and Hot Stone services.
- What should I wear for Thai Massage?
- Thai bodywork is oil-free and done on a floor mat, so you stay fully clothed. Loose, stretchy clothing you can move in works best. Every other service on the menu is table work with oil.
- Where are you located and is there parking?
- The studio is at 4864 Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles, 90029, on the Melrose corridor. Street parking is available along Melrose and the surrounding residential blocks.
- What happens on a first visit?
- You are asked to complete a short intake form before your session so your therapist knows your history, pressure preference, and problem areas. Arriving about five minutes early gives you time to settle before the work begins.
